I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade this year! I have taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade at Joseph Davies Elementary School. I am also one of the Davies Pep Squad Coaches and help with Davies Choir! I received my degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I will receive my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in December 2011. I am adding on a Reading Specialist Degree and pursing an additional master's in Educational Leadership starting in the Spring. I consider myself a "life-long learner" by earning advanced degrees in education and attending professional development conferences in order to better serve the needs of my students by learning new strategies and best practices.
